Definition: to drive, to cause to move, forward or onwards
One of the original ideas had an arrow involved, showing the direction of movement and that stuck in the final design.
Another idea was of propellers, but we couldn't figure out how to make it work in a way that it could be used around campus.
An idea was to have the model of the word on wheels so it could be wheeled around, to show motion. That is the main reason the arrow is curved, so that if there were wheels no part of the model would drag or be caught on the ground.
